Initial phone call with the recruiter followed by conversation with the hiring manager. Both of these were positive and helped me get a clear idea of the team I'm interviewing for. The next step was the technical evaluation where I was asked a non leetcode like question which was refreshing. The interviewer seemed unprepared as I was presented verbally with a high level coding question without much of an explanation for the edge cases etc. It could be part of the evaluation criteria which is fine. The interviewer seemed unprepared for me to solve the question in my programming language of choice after this and it took close to 15 minutes for the interviewer to explain a potential edge case for the problem which I didn't necessarily agree on but still implemented. It would be nice if interviewers were prepared for the interview and flexible enough to write down examples to explain their train of thought instead of going over things verbally as though they are allergic to writing things down (even though I asked for written examples multiple times). A better prepared interviewer would definitely improve general candidate experience
