This was by far one of the worst/most bizarre interview experiences I’ve ever had. It started when the recruiter reached out for my availability. I responded promptly with time for the next day. 36 hours went by with no answer. I followed up and she responded as though I never sent my original email. We scheduled for the following week.
Twenty minutes before my scheduled interview time; she TEXTED me asking to reschedule. Red flags started showing themselves. We rescheduled for the next day and she sent me a zoom link.
Time for the interview. I was prepared for a video call and had taken the time to look the part. She joined three minutes late, camera off and immediately tells me her internet is spotty so she’s camera off. It felt as though she just forgot about our interview and was scrambling.
We dove into it. She made zero introductions, didn’t give me any background on the role (in fact never even mentioned the job title once) or the company. Just immediately started asking me questions. It was jarring. She asked me about three questions. The second of which I had already answered in my first repose. It was clear she wasn’t listening.
Ten minutes in, she stops and says we’re at the halfway point and she wants to leave questions for me. I didn’t have 15 minutes worth of questions. I did want to know more about the position and asked her that specifically. She had no answer. I asked the question a couple of times and all she had for me was that the position was a backfill.
She seemed unprepared, uninterested and frankly wasted my time. It was a terrible impression of Sendoso.
