J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Semrush en oct. 2022
Entretien
The first round was a generic interview with an HR recruiter, nothing out of the ordinary there. I was able to demonstrate how my past experience and knowledge is relevant to the role. However, rather than state the salary range up-front as is now encouraged as standard practice in recruitment, the recruiter sidestepped the question of pay with the now-dated "it depends on your location" line — when surely this information would be decided in advance of opening the role.
In the second round, I met with the hiring manager as well as another HR person, and I'm not quite sure why she was there. But the real problem was the way the hiring manager approached the interview. After a brief intro, the hiring manager surprised me with an on-the-spot skill assessment. I "failed" the test, and when he reviewed the correct answers, it became obvious that this was just a cheap gotcha exercise in which nothing other than the exact and entire answers he had in mind would be accepted. This was my second negative interview with Semrush, and at this point I feel comfortable writing this company off as a whole.

Question 1
I wasn't asked any questions before the hiring manager surprised me with a gotcha-esque skill assessment, which felt very indicative of his toxic management style.
