I had a phone interview with both HR and the hiring manager on the same day for a position that I applied to online. I also had an internal referral. HR stated they would be my contact for all follow-up. I had great rapport with the hiring manager and was told they would love to find a place for me to work there. I was ghosted by both contacts despite following up by email several times.
