Got the interview request a day after my application. It was a weird experience with the interviewer. Not sure what the company is doing as the interviwer does not clearly explain it. Also, the interviwer asked specific number from my company, which is against the NDA of my current job. I gave a really generic number metioning the NDA, but the interviwer didn't look happy with it.
I want to say to the interviwer that it is important for you to know the company's goal, where the industry of the company goes and have some clear views about what you are doing. When you ask questions to the candidates, DO NOT ask NDA breaching questions, as your company also emphasize the NDA. In addition, rather than asking why I applied to your company, please ask about the fundamentals(as I am a engineer with the skills and you are looking for it, please ask the engineering design fundmentals, not ask about trivial questions). You are looking for a engineer with certain skills, not a pernson who flatters about your company's products. To be honest, none of the candidates
care about them. I applied to the position because you guys are looking for a engineer with certain skills and I have the skills, that's all.

poor candidate experience. Rescheduled my interview times, showing a lack of organization. promised a follow-up email discussion, but the company ghosted that promise and sent a standard rejection instead. Not good to make verbal promises about next steps if you intend to send an automated rejection.

I had a disappointing experience with the hiring process for an Engineering role; the process felt unprofessional and showed little regard for candidates' time. The initial interview with the hiring manager was straightforward. However, Science Corp then requested a cognitive test, a personality test, and a design challenge. Interestingly, the design challenge closely mirrored one of company’s main business problem. Although the instructions stated the project should take X hours, it clearly required at least 3X that amount. I invested significant effort and provided documentation and a detailed design. After waiting for a couple of weeks, I received a rejection via a generic do-not-reply email with no feedback. Overall, it seemed Science Corp was more interested in collecting creative solutions from applicants than genuinely evaluating candidates for employment. I strongly believe companies should respect applicants' time. My experience highlighted a lack of respect and transparency, leaving me disappointed in Science Corp’s recruitment practices.
