I had no initial communication with Sandia before my phone interview. I simply applied online for multiple positions and was contacted for one of them. The interviewer was particularly interested about my GPA and undergraduate research experience, but did not care about my student leadership experiences nor design-and-build projects. the interview process consisted of only 1 phone interview. After that, employment was contingent on US citizenship verification, GPA verification, and urine drug testing.
