This is how the interview process went:
1. The company sent me a Job Application form and asked me to fill it.
2. First Interview: Scheduled an Online Technical Interview
3. Second Interview: Invited me to their Office space for HR interview
4. Final Interview: The interview was with the MD, he is in Australia.
When I was researching about the company, it only had 1.3 start out of 5 (google review). I was wondering what could be the reason and though of asking them. Only after reaching the final round I got to know the answer without raising the question.
Basically the founder wants developer who works for him 12hr for 7 days. Since it is will against the law to treat the employees in Australia and even if the employees work (mostly wont), he need to pay overtime. This doesn't applies to Malaysia, so he opened a company here and portrait as "Expanding our Footprints".
On the final interview, he said, the working culture will just be like the local's. Are you ready to work for 12Hr? There will be no holidays for Christmas or New Year. You will have to work even after going home. These were his words.
I initially though if he is testing me or something, but he was not.
