J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Samsara (San Francisco, CA) en juin 2018
Entretien
I applied on their site and less than a week I got a call from recruiter.
1. Recruiter call (30 mins)
2. Hiring manager call (30 mins)
3. On site interview with the team, manager and director (at least 2 hrs)
Overall, it's a worst experience. The recruiter didn't let me know it was at least 2 hours on site interview. I thought it was a panel interview all at once, but it was one on one interview (30 mins for each interviewer). There was a test or problem solving question. My on site interview took over 3 hours because the last interviewer was late and I had to wait for an hour. The last interviewer was rude and always stop my conversation. I already knew she didn't like me and ended my interview early because I was wasting her time.
I was already enclosed that I am a US citizen and difficult to speak at a long period of time because I was discharge due to injuries on my chest. They kept telling me if I have the right to work and if I needed visa because the way I speak or look.
I know this company is a start up, but this company need to change how the process and management work on the interview. If the candidate wasn't right for the company, don't disrespect because everyone isn't perfect. I got a vibe during the interview that people didn't want to hire people smarter than them.
3 days later after the on site interview, I received a call from a phone number and it was Samsara, but they didn't leave a message. So I called so many times to the recruiter and no one answer till I called 10 times for past week. The recruiter answered and already knew my name. He didn't hesitated and told me they were looking other candidates for the position. SO.... instead of contacting me through email of rejection, they rejected through phone. I wasted all my time calling and found the answer. WOW!!
long interview, but everyone was nice during the process, the process requires time and take a long time to give an answer or an offer had to follow up with human resources
