I applied online. The first hint I had of a potential interview was when the recruiter sent me a "confirmed appointment" for a certain date. I was unclear how to interpret a confirmed appointment I had not agreed to, but had no way to contact him as he had left me no direct contact information. Ultimately we got that ironed out, and we scheduled a mutually convenient time. The interview was online. I dressed up and had my video camera on. He did not, which I thought was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful.
