J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Sam's Club (Durham, NC) en avr. 2020

      Entretien

After the online questionnaire, I was selected for an interview and selected and confirmed a time. I showed up at Sam's club 15 minutes early and asked an employee where to go for the interview since that information wasn't included. After asking around, they got the manager on the radio and I waited by the closed food court. She appeared a few minutes later and we did our interview right there. Things were chaotic since she was the only manager there that day and it was during a pandemic. She asked questions about my availability, experience, and resume. There were lots of interruptions over the radio and in person. It seemed she wasn't expecting me. She did like that I had questions and had done some research before coming. Luckily I had my resume to give her because she otherwise wouldn't have had any context or way to remember my name.

I got an interview last Friday May 30, 2025. The interviewer was nice. No more asking questions about my resume and work experiences coz they already checked my profile on Indeed. I got the job offer after the interview and I just needed to consent my background checking. I'm waiting for the result and orientation after that. The experience on that interview was great for me especially I'm a first timer job seeker here.

The one thing that they asked about was about the part yime schedule and if I'm okay with that because they'll give a full time job of you're a good performer.

The nice hiring manager asked questions regarding my past work history and accomplishments. It was a nice and comfortable environment. Afterwards, I was given a tour of the establishment and history on the company.

It was actually very streamlined and at its heart consisted of a 20 minute, fairly intense but mostly pleasant 'getting to know you' kinda conversation. Topics ranged from past work experiences to potential ways of handling situations, however outlandish, that might arise in the workplace. The latter were presented as a handful of thought exercise style questions.

If Suzie said Papa John told her to toss the pizzas between her legs, like the Harlem Globe Trotters, would you:* (a) correct Suzie by reminding her that pizzas are to be tossed in the air above the shoulders with proper certification or experience only (b) request a sit down w the big J. (c) call the nearest available HR representative for a meeting no one wants to have (d) all of the above (e) direct your GM on how to proceed with option (d). *Best recollection given in the style of above recent fabrication. Other questions where more open ended. Interviewers were pleasant; this was at least 15 years ago.
