Followed up after submitting references etc was told another candidate was selected who more closely aligns with position. Job is now reposted.

Formal with two members of their dept staff and then an interview with a HR member. Asked a range of questions related to my past experience, discussing several topics from my Resume. They talked about the company and what their dept did.
