J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez SLB (Shreveport, LA) en oct. 2018
Entretien
I met for a 1:1 interview in early September at my university. More of a conversation for my interview, but I heard others had a case study or more technical questions. Most common question is why Schlumberger? I got an email the next day to schedule my second round interview at a site in mid-October.
When the second interview rolled around it was a 3 day process.
Day 1: flew in LA in the afternoon and had a few hours in the hotel. They assigned me a roommate because the group was about 30 or so people. That night (6 pm - midnight) the recruiters had us do an icebreaker, give segment presentations (they don’t care the content, just your teamwork and presentation skills), and then the recruiters gave accurate segment presentations.
Day 2: we loaded the bus at 8 am for breakfast and site visit. Be engaged and ask a lot of questions. Then we did lunch and went back to the hotel. You fill out a preference sheet of what segment you would want to be in and why. Then you meet with a recruiter for an exit interview (15 min) to talk about your preferences. After the interview everyone is invited to a nice dinner with drinks. The recruiters have more fun at this point, but they’re still watching so be responsible and engaged. Finally, some recruiters and interviewees go out to a bar and some go back to the hotel. I went back to the hotel because my flight was early the next day and I still got an offer so don’t think you have to go out after dinner.
Day 3: Fly out
I heard back 3 weeks later from leaving the second round that I received an offer. They said they would have them sooner, but just count on 3 weeks so you don’t stress out.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Informal process of gauging your personal and conversational skills with other interviewees
1st round interview included short technical question, and telling about myself and the projects I worked on.
Not difficult/or hard, but just need to explain well enough to tell the logic process
It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
