Unprofessional, tacky, lacking integrity. At exact time my telephone interview was scheduled to take place, I received an email stating they had hired an internal candidate and were cancelling my interview. I had taken a good deal of time to prepare for the interview, and I was very disappointed that I would be treated as an afterthought. I suppose, I am glad I checked my email, so I would not waste additional time waiting and wondering.
