I applied for a position at Ryan Specialty and had a phone interview scheduled with a recruiter. On the day of the interview, about 20 minutes beforehand, I received an email stating that the position had already been filled that morning. Considering I set up the interview on Friday, the day after the job was posted, and was scheduled to interview the following Tuesday, the timing felt unusual and left me questioning if the job was even real. Additionally, the recruiter misspelled my name in the email. While that may seem minor, attention to detail is an important part of a recruiter’s role, and this added to my overall disappointment. Overall, my experience felt disorganized and unprofessional.

The interview was pretty straight forward. The interview was a phone screen, then two rounds with the hiring managers. The interviewer spent time looking over my resume and was engaging.
