The interview process lacked competitiveness and was very easy. There were no subject oriented questions which I found very strange. I was interviewed for a post in the English department there which is infected with severe politics. The functioning process is highly questionable. They have a weird fetishism towards white-skinned people who are underqualified and still they easily survive the job. The institution is a big fad as it only blindly mimics the functioning of the western and westernized institutions.

The hiring process is pretty easy as they find it very hard to retain teachers for too long. I submitted my CV before their December deadline for Spring 2011 and then had a skype interview with the Dean and was offered a job. Indians have to go through a face to face interview in Kolkata and Bangalore, but since I am the first Bangladeshi to apply to this college and there weren't any others, I had to go through a skype interview. Westerners also have to go through a similar process.
