      It was fairly smooth, I had a phone call screening and then an in-person interview. The hiring manager was super nice and the managers I met with for the interview were knowledgeable.

      I got an email 2-3 weeks after applying, had a phone interview and then an in person interview the next week. I was told I would hear back after a week but had to follow up after two weeks to find out they decided not to hire anyone for the role. Everyone I spoke to was very nice but the lack of communication was frustrating. I had another job offer while I was waiting to hear back and they ended up moving on to other candidates because I was supposed to hear back almost a week before I did.

      The interview process was long and detailed. They extensively questioned me, allowed me to observe the workers, and questioned me even more. The whole interview took over an hour. After all of that, I was essentially ghosted by them, which seems very unprofessional in my opinion. I ended up finding a job with another company, but I wouldn’t have accepted an offer with this company anyway. Too many hoops to jump through for little pay.

      This is Heather DeNamur, Organizational Relations and Recruiting Manager at Royal. We feel that successful employment begins during the interview and depends on both the employer and the candidate having as much information as possible to ensure a good fit. To achieve that, our interview process can be a bit longer than what you might have experienced with other companies. We also strive to inform each person of our decision after the application and/or interview process with a phone call or email, and we encourage candidates to contact us at any time if they have a question about the status of their application.
