Interview process was actually quite easy. I spoke with their internal recruiter initially, moved quickly to the next step - which was with someone at a remote location, then moved on to the final, “panel” interview which was with 3 different people back to back. All of this happened within a week. Everyone was incredibly nice & this was truly one of the more positive & enjoyable interview processes I’ve had over my working years. Minimal mundane, stereotypical questions - easy flowing convo that allowed us to get to know each other. It wasn’t until the post-interview process that I got a taste for lack of transparency & communication. I inquired about a timeline & was immediately told by the recruiter feedback was positive & it was down to me & someone else so they were wanting to open an additional role & once that was ironed out we’d move forward. Assumed I didn’t get the posted opening, but that wasn’t directly communicated. A week went by (behind the timeframe the recruiter had indicted) so I checked back in & was told the same thing, but still not “rejected” though. Another 2 weeks went by, so I finally asked if the role had been filled & at that time I received an apologetic email that they’d offered the original job to someone else & he’d gotten no word on the additional role & to basically move on. I can appreciate not being a fit for them, but what I don’t appreciate is professionals lacking respect & warranted communication. I was very excited about the opportunity, but might’ve actually dodged a bullet here.
