      Entretien pour Product Manager

      27 mars 2018
      Employé (anonyme)
      Sydney
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Rokt (Sydney) en mars 2018

      Entretien

My hiring process took 2 weeks (from application, to offer), and comprised of three steps: a screening call, an on-site interview with the two team members from screening call followed by an interview with my manager, and then finally a call with the CEO. I was sent a quick test between the screening call and on-site, which formed the foundation of the on-site interview. The interviews were consistently conversational, with a focus on culture fit and self-awareness. The interviewers were transparent and honest, and allowed plentiful time to answer any questions I had. Communication was prompt and effective throughout; they set clear expectations on next steps and timing, and always delivered. I particularly appreciated corresponding with someone from within my discipline the whole way through. Overall, a very positive hiring experience.

Multiple step process including screening, product task, and a multitude of more complicated steps. This was a very difficult process including quite a variety of skills and vetting procedures. The other steps included following metric structures and creating deliverables while committing quite a lot of time to their assigned product task.

Total 6 interview rounds after clearing skill assessment test. Rounds included: -Initial non-technical round with 2 other product managers - 4 subsequent rounds of Product Sense, Product Execution, Working with Engineers, etc. - 1 Bar Raiser

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Question for the how to define the product metrics interview round. If you were the Senior PM at Uber, how will you define the metrics and north star for your team before leaving on a 2 months break. You realise that the Senior PM of another team at Uber isn't happy because of the goals your team are trying to achieve can cannibalise their product. How do you resolve this?

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Rokt (Sydney) en déc. 2022

Really poor experience. Recruiter reached out saying I matched Rokt's desired profile. We discussed my goals, experience and salary expectations and he put me forward for interview as he felt I would be a good fit. Rokt then reached out to me directly, bizarrely largely bypassing the recruiter.. sure whatever. During this time, I saw that the salary bracket was advertised on the job description. Not only was it above average for the market, but I loved the transparency that it showed and had good vibes about the company. First interview went well - talked about my background / experience and reaffirmed my salary expectations. After this, there was a mandated online IQ test. Following this, I did back-to-back second/third interviews, which seemed to go well. My recruiter got in touch and then asked for my salary expectations again. I reminded him we had discussed this in our initial chat and I'd also re-confirmed my expectations during my first interview. He then went on to say that they had 'assessed' me and that the salary for that level was not only significantly below the level that I had clearly stated multiple times throughout the process, but it was also $20k BELOW THE BOTTOM BRACKET OF THEIR OWN JOB DESCRIPTION. To me, this is timewasting at best for all involved, but I feel like I've been bait and switched, which has left a real bitter taste in my mouth.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

Interview 1: - Tell me about yourself without mentioning work - General background / experience questions Interview 2: - Imagine you're the PM at Facebook, how would you launch a VR product?
