Did 4 50 minutes zoom. interviews. 2 with upper management, 2 with developers.
Upper management was fine. Good discussion about company evolution and current direction. Checking alignement with candidate goals and interest. Based on this half a dozen more interviews were scheduled.
Interviews with opinionated pseudo technical interviews. More like a conversation between peers.
HR called back after the technical interviews saying that the 2 engineers gave a negative feedback - not a good fit - and that was it.
Completely disconnected with feedback that was given at end of each technical interviews - everything answer candidate gave are either designs the company was doing or planning to do.
Potentially a strong case of nespotism, or discrimination of some kind. But they would not be honest about it of course.
