Rbolox hires a third party company to conduct the "phone" screening interview. I joked whether it would be acceptable if I also hired a third party candidate to take the interview for me. Thinking about that lately, the approach is too impersonal. After the interview, the hiring manager and engineers watch the interview recording only and take a decision. That process is very impersonal. It allows people who are good at acting to shine and OTOH drives introvert engineers into a hole. And, it's a fact that good engineers are generally the later. All that hints about the company being a bit careless about capturing the best talent on the market.
