Interviewed for position with another person. Owner detailed a laundry list of dreams that he hoped the department would become, but did not focus on what the department currently is. Refused to outright state salary until he was pressed multiple times (salary was very low for a department lead with managerial responsibilities). Interview concluded with him asking both candidates to go home and write an impassioned 1-2 page essay about why we wanted the job, and he would choose which he liked best.
