Overall the process was efficient, recruiting team was communicative and helpful - answered all my questions and were respectful and quick, hiring team seemed slightly scattered but it was probably due to the fact that most of them were new hires themselves.

      Entretien

I got weird vibes from the application and screening process. So much so that I withdrew my application from Rippling; details are below. I initially came through as an applicant for a different position. The recruiter, who was very kind, said I would be a better fit for another open role. My first thought was "How considerate to actually think of other roles that my skills would be a good fit for." It took a weird turn from there. It was described as a new role and the lack of answers to my simple questions was a red flag. 1. Is the role remote as the posting suggests? The recruiter said that I might not be able to work remotely but they weren't sure yet. They said there is a local office slated to be open in the next few weeks that I might be expected to go in to. 2. Where is the new office? They couldn't tell me the address or location. 3. What's the expected compensation? There also wasn't a firm salary range for the position yet. The salary range was still being decided but would be "generous" OTE package. 4. How are KPIs and goals measured to determine "On Target" for a net new role with no historical data? No answer. But they still wanted me to move forward with the interview process with these extremely important questions not answered. After reading the many, many red flag reviews from Glassdoor and realizing I was kind of bait and switched to another role, I decided to withdraw my application. No one ever responded to or acknowledged what I consider a respectful, polite withdrawal; I knew they received it because the meeting was cancelled/removed from my calendar almost immediately. If that's how they treat potential candidates and leave that impression on people unfamiliar with Rippling, I can't imagine how they would treat their actual employees who they have on the hook. I don't plan on applying for an open role at Rippling again.
