The person who was hiring gave a horrible first impression because she constantly changed the meeting time and date. She did not answer my emails or calls in timely manner. She left me hanging. She put HUGE HUGE HUGE emphasis on psychometrics. She feels they are the answer to life's questions. I almost walked away from the opportunity because I felt I could do better, and it got to a point where I felt the process was insulting and extremely dragged out- and to top it off the person recruiting me did not have a background in HR or recruiting. She made recruitment services for Rio Tinto look horrible and part of me was thinking what the hell am I signing up for, and the other part said- they need someone like me to help out.
Overall, 4-5 phone calls, 3 interviews, 2 psychometric tests. 1 background check, criminal, education, reference check.
