I had been sourced by an agency for this position. The recruiter was very helpful in getting me along the process. In total, I had 2 interviews and needed to provide a writing sample. All interviews went well and both hiring managers had mentioned that I would be "perfect" for this role based on my previous experience as well as my writing sample. About a week later, I heard back from the recruiter and she had told me that hiring mangers were now looking for someone who came from a start up background. Ring, please do not do this. Do not give false hopes to your candidates and completely change the vision of the hiring process. It is a waste of time for everyone involved.
