They reached out to me through email and encouraged me to apply to their company. The first email was nice and full of flattery so I decided “why not?”.
Do yourself a favor... just don’t. Whether you have a bad interview process or a bad employment process... this company is not one of the great Austin startups that people love to work for. They’re so self involved and quickly came off as rude. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already heard from *someone* that people do not have good experiences working for this company — believe that someone.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez RigUp (Austin, TX) en sept. 2021
Entretien
-Reached out to me via email
-Two rounds of interviews, each an hour in length
-Take home assessment to program a simple API that takes in data to crunch some arithmetic and then return the data. Took around 10 hours
-rejected a couple hours after submission was confirmed received with no feedback, in spite of the API doing everything that was asked for

Question 1
They will ask you to either create an app or 3 sessions of technical interviews. they will tell you they prefer to send you home to make an app, but I would not advise selecting this route.

Rude process. I usually do not write bad reviews but I had to write about this red flag.
If you are a woman or a minority, they will try to interview you for a position way lower than you deserve to be in. Then they will be mad and reject you after you politely ask what is the reason they want to interview you for a position that requires 2 years of experience when you have 7 years of experience.
This is a red flag. I would recommend women and minority software engineers stay away from this company.
