      I am a former Ricoh employee. I applied for this position as soon as I saw it posted on their careers website. Within a couple days I was contacted by a recruiter to schedule a phone interview via a confusing mix of poorly worded text messages and emails that led to an equally confusing third party site to schedule a time and date. For the less inclined, this process can seem like a run of the mill scam as they ask you for your contact information all over again as part of the process. One has to infer that a recruiter will call to speak with you as the scheduling tool sets up no sort of phone number to call or URL to join a virtual meeting. On the scheduled interview day, the recruiter did indeed call me at the number I provided. They came off as incredibly rushed and nervous. I had a hard time understanding them as they spoke so fast. We spoke for roughly 9 of the 30 scheduled minutes. I interpreted this to mean they felt I was a good fit since I previously worked for Ricoh and this position was a natural next step in my career trajectory. They only shared the specifics of the job and asked a handful of questions. The call ended with them saying they'd move me to the hiring manager and I would soon hear from that person. A week later I had yet to receive any follow-up. I reached out to the recruiter via email and they did not respond. I reached out again after a couple days and they did respond stating they would contact the hiring manager and provide me with an update. I never heard from them or anyone again. One month later, on a Sunday afternoon, I received a generic rejection email. As a former hiring manager at Ricoh my experience with their recruiting process was frustrating at best, and incredibly unprofessional at worst. I falsely assumed that after a roughly two year break, they might have improved. That does not seem to be the case based on this interview experience.
