      Entretien

It started with them sending an email from one of their recruiters stating that if I have interest to contact them between specified hours. After reviewing the company on this site and the internet, I decided to call in spite of the terrible employee feedback and press. Right away, it proved accurate, I called three times over 5 days and left 3 different messages. Finally the recruiter called back the following week. She proceeded to ask the standard questions, have I sold before, have I cold called, nothing difficult or out of the ordinary. She then stated I was qualified for the next step, this was a battery of online tests-they will give you your log in and password- both timed and untimed, based on mechanical aptitude, mathematical aptitude, word problems, English language/definitions, attitude toward drugs and smoking in the work place, Myers-Briggs personality tests. In all about 6-7 tests that took a few hours. On the attitudinal tests she stated that you cannot answer the middle more than 5 times or it will skew the results, so be prepared to actually have to have an opinion on controversial subjects. About a week later I received another phone call from an advanced recruiter and she wanted to set an appointment to further detail my work history. This took about an hour and went over my resume specifics from work history...what were your responsibilities, why did you leave, etc.The other questions were basic...what do you know about Reynolds and Reynolds? Why want to work here? What was last book read? What message did you take from the book? Where see yourself in 3-5 years? Are you interviewing with any other companies? Everything was non situational and standard. After that she mentioned another online test this time it was a "sales" test. She also asked for background check information for credit check. Again the login and password were sent via email. This was really just another personality test disguised as their "sales aptitude" test, for example: I'm happy with my body or I like what I see when I look in the mirror. This was about 130 questions long. Once that was completed then they give the standard, we'll forward on to the specific department for further processing answer. She did ask if I had any questions and I asked product and company specific questions for example: Since this is software, I inquired how often is it updated and how much input does the sales force have on the development? The answer was along the lines of, "I don't know perhaps you should ask the proper department."
