Hi! Please continue reading for an honest and positive experience.
Like some of you, I have searched for feedback and tips on how to pass interviews, and well… here it isn't great.
You see, I always saw Revolut as my dream company. I was so motivated and excited that negative experiences didn't put me off, and I'm really glad they didn't!
This is my full and honest review of the whole process with plenty of tips on how to land that job! Please keep in mind that this was for a Finance junior position, and for positions requiring more years of experience, the process will be different:
1º It is really important to see if you fit with the company culture and environment. On LinkedIn, connect with people in the same position that you want to be recruited for and try to have a conversation. It is really important to see if you like it (maybe you can get a reference from them!).
2º The Cognitive and Personality tests - if you really want to pass to the next stage, you have to practice like it is a school exam and you want to get all answers correct. There is plenty of information on Google and YouTube with tips and mock tests. No matter what position you are applying for, you will probably have this. I studied a lot and understood what the test entailed, so for me, it wasn't that difficult. I think it also tests the "Never settle" value; the more you practice, the more you will achieve a higher score. The personality test was really spot on and very easy to do. I had the result that I had passed to the next stage really fast, and from then on, it took maybe two weeks for the final interview.
Extra Tip: In all interviews, please be prepared to ask questions.
3º Interview with HR - As I did in the cognitive test, I prepared for this next interview thoroughly. I read everything I could about Revolut, talked with employees, and saw news/videos. Basically, I was prepared for every question. It was a really good interview; the HR interviewer was really sweet and helpful. It was a conversation where she got to know me, and I got to know the company. Probably one of the best interviews I had.
Tips: Listen to the Revolut Insider podcast; they give you lots of tips on how to secure the best interview, what the interview process is like, and read about news on Revolut and your field.
Interview with Team Leader - Really enjoyed the interview. You have to be prepared to explain your past and present experience, give lots of examples and accomplishments. Again, it was a conversation where I could understand more about the team, the job I would be doing, and if I fitted in that.
More Tips: When preparing the examples, don't forget the culture values of Revolut; they can come in handy. I didn't have the case studies in all the interviews.
4ºInterview with the Head of the Department - Really interesting interview. I was very nervous because it was the final step, but fortunately, I was able to show my experience and skills, and ultimately pass. It is a little bit the same as the second interview, but you will delve deeper into the questions about your experience and your role.
I hope this review will help some of you land your dream job. If not, don't worry; there is always another chance in the future! Cheers!
