The first red flag was that she did not turn on her camera. When asked if I knew what Revolut was I responded yes, since I am not only a customer but I have also studied Revolut value proposition in preparation for the interview. Then she went on a rant telling me about Revolut and what it is. Either she was not listening, which is not a good sign on a recruiter, or she wanted to just keep the clock on the call rolling. She then went on explaining the countries Revolute operates and other very basic information. I could easily tell she was reading everything she said. It truly felt like she was just consuming time. She continued explaining the position they are trying to fill and the new branch of business that Revolut is trying to tap into. She told me that, due to my experience and qualifications, I was a good fit. Then she told me the full range of compensation that this position pays, which I appreciated due to transparency. Then she asked me to introduce myself and so I did and explained my CV with my academic achievements with zero interaction or follow up questions from her side. Again, very weird. Then she went on asking me about a challenge that I had solved in my current company, which I did. And by then to no surprise, with no follow up questions. Finally she asked me what software architectures I am familiar with and so I did explain, with several examples of applied data architectures. By now you probably guessed, no follow up questions. Last but not least I asked her how the process would go on from here, to which she detailed the tests, a problem solving interview and a general interview with my future direct manager. She told me, and I could hear the clicking, that she was already checking the agenda of the next interviewer and how sure she was we could get the entire process done in three weeks. After the interview finished, a day later, I received a generic email stating that I would not be moving forward and this quote: "I hope that the feedback I was able to give you helped you to understand what we are looking for. " Which left me perplexed, not only because she stated clearly in the interview that I had met all requirements, the fact that she was already looking into booking the next interview but, most of it all, since no feedback was shared whatsoever during said interview. The entire thing left me feeling like she was doing this interview to fill up a quota, which whomever receives this feedback will be able to assess if true or not.
