I was applying for a senior position but the process was still as if they were hiring a fresh grad. The notorious home assignment made me mildly uncomfortable from an ethics perspective as it was making the candidate do a job that should have been done by paid employees. There was also the problem solving interview which they are very proud of but is broken because the interviewer does not know how to conduct it properly. In a good problem solving interview, the interviewer should keep an open mind about all possible solutions but this particular interviewer clearly had only one solution in mind and just kept adding conditions to close the door on any solution suggested other than whatever the one he had in mind was.

The interview process left extremely mixed feelings. First time in my prof career the interviewer didn't show up for the interview without any notice in advance. The recruiters rescheduled the call and even changed the interviewer (apparently, they couldn't align on the official explanation - either the person was just busy or messed up with the time zones....) Problem solving interview - expect being put at the harsh environment for no reason. The interviewer even didn't try to be nice from the very beginning of the meeting. Do not expect any guidance about the case during the process as promised by the recruiters. Honestly, so many red flags during the hiring process do not leave any thoughts about whether I should join this company... :)
