      Entretien

One of the most bizarre interview processes ever. It was 7 rounds in total which I somewhat get (aspiring high flying Tech company etc), but some of these processes just felt redundant and obviously lacked a lot of thought behind them. The two that stood out to me the most (in a negative way): - Was asked to complete a take-home task which, on paper, was said to take 2.5 hours uninterrupted. This particular task was very time-consuming and even more so for anyone who worked FT and had to find the time to complete it. Took me almost 2 full days to complete the whole thing including my weekend. - One of the rounds was a strategy case interview with a Senior Ops guy who wasn't even in my locality (he was based in Japan), and also a case interview for an Accounting role...?? The reasoning behind this was supposedly to test a candidate's 'problem solving skills', but they also expect an Accountant to miraculously nail a case interview to their satisfaction without any experience doing case interviews ever? That's like me asking the guy about Accounting Standards and then expecting him to even have the slightest clue about what I'm talking about On top of that, the interviewer himself has got to have one of the worst personalities ever encountered - unfriendly and soulless, he sounded irritated from the beginning and very clearly didn't want to be there. There was no introduction given or asked, just straight to the interview question. I found out later through providing feedback to the Talent team (who were exceptional btw), that this particular interviewer was 'new' to interviews which in hindsight makes a lot of sense. If he were to continue running interviews I suggest he step his game up immensely.
