Brief interview with an internal recruiter, and then I was assigned take home tasks. Felt like I wasted a week of my evenings on the take home tasks, working until midnight and on the weekend as well, to just get a few lines of bullet pointed feedback and a rejection on something I felt like I put a huge amount of effort in considering the time I had. Wish I could get that week of my life back. Fair enough I suppose, but very disheartening. I would have been more neutral in my response if there was encouragement to apply again, considering the time I put in. I found the task itself really interesting, though a lot of it is subject to your own interpretations. Despite having the technical skills, there was a set criteria to meet on what they wanted to see on the analysis that I fell short of. I feel if I had the extra time or was not working, I could have nailed the detail. However, I felt like I put as much effort in as I could given the time I had, but what a headache it was. Understandable if they need to sift the applicants somehow. However, the very impersonal application process has put me off and I would not want to apply again. Reading other reviews of the organisation, it does not sound like Revolut care for individuals and I get a sense of that attitude from this experience alone.
