      Entretien

I wouldn't even call it an interview process. I applied for a Business Analysts job they posted on LinkedIn and said there were 40 open positions. The following I was contacted three different times by Revature. The first time was an automated phone call that said to wait on the line to talk to a recruiter. After the automated bit was over it hung up on me. The second time I actually spoke to two people. The first person wanted to talk to me about an entry-level software engineer position. I informed her that I had applied for a business analysts position and that I had no qualification to be a software engineer. I major in Business Management in college and it says that on my resume. After I told the recruiter that she proceeded to ask me some basic question and transfer me to a "career coach." Once I was online the line with the "career coach" I informed her that I hadn't applied to this position and wasn't really interested in the software engineer position, but would like to discuss the business analysts position. To end this conversation I asked for her to email me a job description which she did. I replied to her email once again saying that I wasn't qualified or interested in the software engineer position and reiterated my desire to discuss the business analysts position. In the email, I even included a screenshot of the LinkedIn job posting so there was no confusion about the job I was talking about. A few hours later I got a text message from another recruiter wanting to discuss the software engineer position. I responded by saying that I hadn't applied to this position and wasn't interested but I wanted to discuss the business analysts position I had applied for and was interested in. I got an automated response so I decided to call the phone included in the text message. The person I spoke to had a real attitude and was very rude. When I was connected to this person I told her I had just received a text from them and she immediately brought up the software engineer. Like I had told everyone else I said that I hadn't applied for this job, I wasn't qualified, and was interested in but would like to discuss the business analysts job I had applied for. As soon I finished telling her this she tried to end the conversation and hang up. At this point I had enough with Revature and told her that I didn't want them contacting me again. The business analysts position clearly actually never exisited becasue the LinkedIn that I saw was only a few hours old. Revature is no different than one of those "marketing" companies is that is nothing more than door-to-door sales. They advertise a position that sound great but in reality the position is nothing liked advertised.

Pretty simple. A few rounds of screening beginning with phone interview then an in person interview. Not much technical questions, mostly just want to see how you think and if you're a capable person.

Received a phone call to set up a Skype interview. The person interviewing was clearly reading from a list of technical questions, looking down on their desk often. It felt more like an oral quiz than job interview.

Interview process went fine. I first spoke with a recruiter and that was pretty straightforward. He then set me up with a formal interview. He also sent me a list of topics that I could be asked on the interview. That was very helpful and he even helped me more when I needed more clarification on something.

      Question 1

1: You have a fox, chicken, and corn. The fox eats the chicken and the chicken eats the corn. You have to safely get all three across the island and you can only take one item at a time. How do you solve this?
