      Entretien

It was mentioned during the initial screening call that I would have to complete a marketing brief/case study during the interview process, so I kept waiting for it to come. It wasn't mentioned again as I moved forward and interviewed with 2 others. When it was time for the final panel interview, I figured there could be an impromptu case/brief. Since there had been no mention of it after that first call, I prepared for impromptu scenarios just in case. During the panel interview, I was asked to present my slides for the brief. I politely explained that I had not received any materials or notice to prepare slides while scheduling this meeting. Turns out, the recruiter had attached a brief at the very bottom of the Teams email invite, without providing any indication that she had attached a file. Anyone who has used Teams before would understand why that's ridiculous. There was no mention of a presentation while we were scheduling - which in itself is important, as I could've needed to factor in more time to complete it. One of the marketing managers essentially called me a liar after quietly messaging back and forth with the recruiter while I talked to the other two panelists. As if wasn't mortifying enough to show up unprepared. All I could do was apologize and we ended the call early. I did reach out to the recruiter to apologize and explain what happened, and while she did not acknowledge her part in the mix up, she did offer to reschedule. I ended up declining since I knew it was a lost cause at that point, and honestly, I didn't want to work with a manager who seemed eager to embarrass a potential candidate over an honest mistake. Anyways, please learn from my mistakes and be careful when interviewing here, they are not the most organized.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Please outline a targeted field marketing play aimed at driving awareness, deepening engagement, and securing meetings with decision-makers. The focus should be on T1 and T2 accounts within our grocery retail customer profile, leveraging tailored tactics and channels that resonate with this audience and move them smoothly through the funnel from initial contact to meaningful conversation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your interview experience at Retail Insight. We’re sorry to hear that there was confusion regarding the case study briefing and how the materials were communicated. We understand how important it is for candidates to receive clear and timely information about expectations at each stage of the process, and we appreciate you highlighting where this did not meet expectations. We also regret that this led to a difficult experience during the final interview. Our intention is always to ensure interviews are fair, respectful, and well-coordinated, and we take feedback like this seriously as it helps us identify where our processes and communication can be improved. We will be reviewing how briefing materials are shared and signposted to ensure they are clearer and more visible for future candidates, as well as reinforcing consistency across the interview process. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we wish you all the best in your future career.
