The first stage was a telephone interview with Fiona Kirkhope, this lasted for about 1 hour where Fiona went through the job description and then she asked me to describe situations where I have performed above and beyond my job requirement in order to satisfy a customers needs. Fiona also wanted to know about my career history up to now. At the end of this interview she asked for me to attend a face to face interview two days later with Laura Teasdale and her colleague. At this second interview which took place at the area offices in Birmingham we discussed why I would be suitable for the role and they were also very interested in career progression. I had carried out a lot of research into the company and the benefits it provides to its customers, which they wanted to discuss. The following day Shabana Dolan-Osborne phoned me to say that I had been successful to attend the final stage interview which would include the morning spent with Apriya Gakhal visiting customers and shadowing Apriya carrying out site surveys. Apriya was very knowledgeable which was extremely helpful in illustrating the day to day activity of the job, she also answered the many questions I had. Later in the day I met Colin Martin the Area Operations Manager and we discussed why I would be good for the role, Colin was very down to earth and focused which I found very motivational. Later that day I received a phone call from Shanbana asking me how I felt the interview went and then she said congratulations you have got the job, which was followed up with a conformation email with the start date. The interview process was very in depth, and very informative providing me a comprehensive understanding of the job role. I received feedback at every stage keeping me update on my progress.It was also a very fast process from start to finish.

I was emailed to discuss my application initially by Scott Coupland who agreed a time to call. He was very friendly and gave me a really thorough overview of the company and the role, he explained salary structure and training that would be provided. We discussed my previous employment history and experience and motivation behind applying for the role, I was asked some testing questions to test my suitability. I was then emailed an interview with Scott Bottomley who explained more about Rentokil Initial and the reasons and strategy behind the current application and a further questions were asked to understand my history and suitability for the role. Then followed a field day to get an even better feel for the role which was brilliant, learning about the processes and what a normal day would be like with Malcolm Pratt. Finally a meeting with both Greg Beattie and Scott Bottomley to make a final decision on my application, both asked questions which were relevant and appropriate. It was a really thorough process where equally you were getting to know the colleagues you will work with and they were getting to know you too as well as learning about the com.pany
