      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Remote en juil. 2023

      Entretien

I had applied to one role, but during the process, I had found from the recruiter there was another opening I was more aligned with - they asked me my comp range, to which they responded the comp was location based and much lower than I had made at my prior and current job. They had said if I continued in the process, if they felt I would make an impact right away, they could possibly offer more. I agreed to continue in the process. I felt the process went quickly and I was scheduled for the final round before I had completed the previously scheduled interviews. I was pleased with the speed of the process and how much info they share in documents/websites about working at the company. However, the bad outweighed the good. Being that this was a contract role, I was shocked to hear benefits were being offered, so I followed up to confirm this, to which I was given conflicting info on benefits and the cost. Nobody seemed confident in the benefits questions I had in terms of cost. Also they cover no cost for spouse or family, which is nothing like I have come across. In my final interview, it felt like all info I should have been given in the first round - a run down of the company and what they have been up to. I was told they are looking to hire a lot of contractors because they laid people off and they don't want to do it again, but in my opinion, this doesn't feel good as a candidate hearing this. All I hear is the company doesn't want to take the fall again for layoffs/pay severance. Finally, I was rejected in less than 24 hours after my final meeting. The role was also a Sr. level apparently according to my rejection, which not one person disclosed to me in the process. So I was rejected based on that and another area they were seeking which I can say was not largely covered in the process so I found that confusing. Finally, if the role was Sr. level, this makes the comp range shared with me even worse. I am shocked a company of this size and in tech would offer such low compensation.

We're sorry to hear about your experience during the interview process. It's disappointing to hear that the compensation and benefits information provided was not as clear as it should have been. We appreciate your feedback, and we'll work on improving communication in these areas.
