The interview process for an entry level $18-$22/hr. position was unnecessarily long, time-consuming, and ultimately ended up in my being *ghosted* by the representative who had interviewed me 3 times (once over the phone, once at the offices, once at the plant). I was told they would be in touch by the end of November. When I checked in via email, I was told they'd reach out to me "by Friday." No call from them that week. When I reached out again to check in, I was given a half-witted excuse about a "new HR Manager (a week and a half on the job)" who was "just swamped with work at the moment but we will get to you." At the end of December, I haven't heard from anyone. Organizations and their representatives who feel that ghosting is an acceptable practice should re-evaluate that belief; there is no faster way to gain a poor reputation in the professional realm.
