I applied online (their direct website) and a few days got contacted by their head recruiter. Talked over the phone and scheduled a first interview. Interview process took at least 3 weeks. First interview was held at their Eastside corporate offices in Vernon. I meet with 3 separate people. Overall, all three viewed Ref as an “organized chaos” type of company. Which was ok for me since they were honest. Interviews went really well. 2nd interview was in their Westside offices in Culver City where I meet with their VP and Overhead lead of Design (I was suppose to meet with the CEO, but she was available). They made me take this weird test, almost like taking your SAT’s. The VP was the least person I thought was interested in doing interviews from the vibe she was giving me, asked vague questions but it was alright. Interviews went well too. 3rd step was an actual “test”. It was all on the laptop, basically how to measure a dress, apply the corrections they had me make, call our construction, basically they wanted to know if you can handle making a tech pack. I didn’t get the position, but overall process was ok. You will need to communicate with the recruiter via email to get confirmation or a touch base on your interview.

When I interviewed with the director, he was incredibly rude. He didn’t seem interested in making eye contact and acted bored throughout. He actually walked away while I was in mid-sentence !!!!! If this is the way they treat people in an interview, I can’t imagine how they treat employees. You’re better off looking elsewhere.
