The process began with a 15-minute call from an in-house recruiter (East Coast) who found my resume and reached out. We discussed compensation range, company culture, security clearance requirements, and general role expectations.
Next was a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. This included two behavioral questions, several technical questions related to embedded systems, and a discussion about my prior experience.
I was then flown out to Tucson, AZ for an on-site interview (fully reimbursed, including flights, hotel, meals, and rides to/from the airport). The on-site consisted of:
- 1-hour behavioral panel with two directors/managers
- 1-hour technical discussion with a tech lead (no live coding challenge)
The technical portion focused on embedded systems concepts, past projects, and how I would fit into the role.
I am currently in the team selection phase (typically a 30-minute phone conversation). Overall, the process was smooth, organized, and professional. I was able to negotiate both base salary and sign-on bonus. Excited to join!
