Applied online through university, then assessment centre and finally a phone interview with the hedge fund manager. The assessment centre was on a Saturday and lasted from about 9-12. First there were tests (maths, accounting, verbal reasoning and broker report analysis) and then there were four 20-minute interviews about motivation, technical knowledge, experience etc. There were some mental maths questions as well. The phone interview was the final stage which is unusual. He provided some feedback on the phone which was quite helpful.
