      Entretien

I first received contact from Quantico in Nov 2022. 5 months later I had completed 5 interviews (1 initial informal chat, 1 technical task, 1 role-play interview, 2 follow up conversations with a FinOps manager and the COO) after which I was told that, although they thought I was a great fit for the company, there was no position available. Finally, after informing me that I was top of the list when a new position opened, they asked whether I would be willing to commute in 2 days a week. As the role advertised was a remote one I declined and have heard nothing since. Although the tasks were interesting and the interviews engaging, overall it felt like a waste of both my time and theirs. The company appears to be an exciting place to work and I really believe in what they are doing, however in my experience they came across as disorganised and unsure of themselves.

Thanks a bunch for sharing your review! We genuinely appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to make things better for everyone involved. We totally get that reaching back out to candidates in our talent pool might seem a bit unusual. But sometimes we struggle to predict our exact recruitment needs, so we explore all possible options. Sorry if it caused any confusion on your end. We want to apologise for the change in role requirements that happened while you were in the process. We collaborate with startups, and they occasionally prefer having someone join them in their offices once a week. It wasn't a requirement before, but sadly it changed just when you were going through it. We informed you as soon as we could. We're bummed you felt we were disorganised. We're constantly tweaking and adapting, which can sometimes cause hiccups. But we believe in transparent communication and keeping everyone informed of changes as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it didn't go smoothly for you this time, and we'll take your input seriously and work on making our processes even better. If you have any more concerns or questions, feel free to reach out to us directly. We appreciate your interest in Quantico, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors!

I have applied for FinOps Manager twice now. The first time I applied was in 2021 where I got passed the 2nd stage (Technical Assessment). At this point I was a part-qualified accountant with 3 years experience. The interview process was great and enjoyed it but they said that I needed to return when I was slightly more qualified. They were super nice about it and I felt confident that I would work there one day and completely understood the reasoning. Fast forward 3 years, I am now fully qualified, with much more experience and I decided to interview with them again for the same role. The first screening interview went really well and I was meant to hear by the end of the week, I had to chase the following week. Once chased, they informed me that they had just added additional criteria being (Needs to work at multiple, high-growth startups). This was not, and the last time I checked still is not, highlighted on the website. I feel that this may have not been an honest reason as it seems very peculiar. I feel like I have been penalised for staying part of, and contributing to, a growing start-up. (Exactly what they would want for their clients)
