Interview was with a group of other candidates, and involved a series of group activities and improvising. They were fun and enjoyable, and allowed us to tap into our creative side. These activities, however, were the only positive thing about the interview process. Leading up to this point, I’ve sent out dozens of applications for multiple positions in the company over the years, with years of experience in the outdoor industry and retail, only to be consistently rejected or overlooked. After earning three college degrees (two associates and a bachelors), years of experience, an eagerness to learn and add value to the company, and a portfolio showcasing it all, one would think this would suffice for something as simple as a retail job, but I guess not. If none of this is enough, then what is?
