I got interviewed for engineering manager role with the process spanning 5 rounds and cleared them all including the CTO round. At the last moment they decided that they don't need this role at all and would be going with some contractual freelancer based profile. It was hugely disappointing that a company is not even clear about whether they want to hire for a certain role or not and conducts 5 rounds wasting candidate's time and then backing out. It sort of shows unprofessionalism and lack of clarity at the highest level in this company. Would never advise anyone to even pick up a call by this company let alone considering this company for future jobs.
