J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 4 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Quantiphi (Boston, MA) en févr. 2019
Entretien
1. Online Assessment conducted in November 2018
No communication after that until February 2019
2. Email saying you have been shortlisted in February 2019
3. Scheduled video hangout call with current engineer who just asked me to go through every single detail on my resume. The interviewer didn't seem interested in even asking me a single coding exercise or any other question.
4. Recruiter got back after a week saying, congrats you are shortlisted, next is HR round and then hiring. This recruiter had no idea about the compensation, location and visa sponsorship related to the job posting. Said another recruiter will reach out to you.
5. Another recruiter sends me a Machine Learning task and gives me a week to submit the solutions.
Meanwhile as I was interviewing with many other companies, I received an offer from a company 2 days from the task deadline day and hence did not submit the task. Recruiter emailed me saying you are past the due date, let us know if you need time and I responded saying I just received an offer yesterday. The first recruiter then calls me back and very rudely asks me why did you not tell us before. I did say that I received the offer very recently, but he proceeded to ask me the timeline of events , specifically asking if I received the offer before/after they sent me the task.
In my opinion, if you are a company looking to hire engineers, and you respond to an assessment after 3 months, you should be aware of the fact that many candidates might already be in the later stages of interviews with other companies. They did not even ask me if I am interviewing or suggest that they can speed up the process if I needed it. Bad interview experience.
