J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Quantinuum (Cambridge, East of England, England) en avr. 2021
Entretien
The interview lasted over 2 hours via zoom by three team members. I presented for about 30 mins, and they asked me many questions directly related to my presentation. For the remaining time of the interview, we discussed quantum technologies and my views on the industry.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
I will not specify the questions regarding my presentation. But here are some generic questions on the QC:
- What are the best immediate application for a large-scale quantum computer?
- What is the most significant result in QC?
- Currently, what are the implementations that are making the most progress?
- Had basic questions on superconducting and ion traps.
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Quantinuum (Londres, Angleterre) en nov. 2024

The interview process was weird, there's a recruiter who is poor at communicating, doesn't reply to emails, I had to contact the hiring manager directly, twice, but then when they want to get in contact they will call you at 8pm 5 times in a row.
Also when they make you an offer, you have to ask multiple times for clarity on the terms like for the equity offer.
The interview process itself was simple, really just a couple of technical chats. Generally the offer was ~2/3 of market rate for the skills they were looking for but they seem like very interesting roles.
We agreed an position and I asked to a delayed start date, they also agreed to this but didn't get an updated contract despite asking. Eventually the offer was withdrawn. Seems like they have just strung me along and by then I had turned down other offers.
I thought it was a really poor way to deal with a candidate, hiring manager refused to meet me afterwards despite me asking.
I would avoid this company, not trustworthy.
