I applied via LinkedIn and received an email a week later from one of the recruiting team members. In the email they stated that my salary expectations were high and could possibly rule out but if I were willing to drop down then they would like to proceed. I said I was open to negotiation and so I waited to hear from them. A week I received an email informing me that my application had been shortlisted for an interview. Instead of a face to face interview I was provided a link to a system called Hireview where I had to answer a series of 4 precorded questions relating to the role and the business. Today I have received an email telling me I was unsuccessful and didn't receive any feedback. I found the process quite offputting and unfair as you never actually speak to anyone virtually or over the phone.
