What a painless interview. I wish more interviews were this educational. I learned a lot about publix in a short amount of time. I felt confident in the position I applied for with that company

The interview process was the most unusual Ive ever seen. I came from a place where I was the one conducting interviews, and if I had known then what I know now from having been on the opposite side of the interview process with Publix, I would go back and change the entire way I interviewed people. If you have gotten a phone call for an interview, its yours to lose. You are already essentially hired, and the interview is a formality. Most interviews will probably be quick and easy (the company does deserve the award for being a great place to interview at), no questions will trip you up. Its very conversational. If you dont have much work experience , the interview will be quick and easy - about 15 minutes. I came in with a ton of experience so an hour of time was allotted to getting to know me, and to share personal stories that the manager had with Publix culture. My interview probably would have been shorter, but I lost track of time and enjoyed the conversation so the interview was longer than anticipated.

The interview process was very detailed. They assessed your interest and knowledge of the company. They explained the job roll in full detail. They expresses interest in your 5 year plan with the company.
