I applied online and an internal recruiter emailed and set-up the interview. This went okay. She was quite negative about the position and the problems the company was facing. However, I received an email a few days later to schedule an interview with the CHRO. I replied promptly, yet did not hear back from the recruiter for nearly 8 days. I tried following up during that time. Her response was that she was "too" busy. She also informed me that the position was now going to start as a contractor due to potential turnover (which this is not legal in Texas for this position and for their reasoning). She finally sends me a Skype link for the interview. I prep, dress accordingly, and dial-in. I noticed immediately that the Skype candidate's name listed was not mine. I stayed logged in, but tried to contact the recruiter for 20 minutes. She finally wrote me an email stating "The CHRO is on the line. I'll see if she wants to reschedule." I never heard back from her again. It was her mistake for sending the wrong link, yet I did not get another chance. A week later, the position was reposted. Extremely unprofessional.
