Worked for this company as a contractor for a year. I liked Protiviti overall and wanted to remain there full time. I was asked to interview for a full time position eventually. I went through 2 hour long interviews. The first was with a very nice woman who told me she liked me. The second was with an egotistical male who only talked about himself. When I asked how many hours a week I would be working, he said that he is “always working.” He also felt the need to cut me off, brag about how much he makes, and acted like he was the most important man in the world. Protiviti is known for over working, over promising, under paying and under delivering. I’m sorry but $70k is not worth the 70 hour work week and. After the interviews, I never heard back despite my excellent internal references and work experience. I called back two weeks later and the woman told me they had no where to put me. No one was going to bother to let me know I guess. I felt very taken advantage of here. I received a flat hourly rate, not many opportunities for overtime, no benefits, no holiday pay, no PTO, no sick days, no work life balance. The consultant and contractor turn over rate is very high because of the work/life balance issue and low pay.
