      It was pretty straight forward, with basic first hr round, then the location manager called thereafter the project head and then panel interview with presentations was done. All in all standard but effective process of interview

      I was asked to Skype with a woman from the Portland Office. She seemed friendly initially, with the usual small talk but when it came time to ask me about my career history she seemed very uninterested and conveyed boredom. I was a little disappointed since the company seemed professional from their job description. Isn't the interviewer supposed to somewhat sell themselves as much as the interviewee? It was that way the last time I interviewed recently at a fortune 500 company...

      Standard stuff - what is the most challenging project you've ever worked on and why? Also, they wanted to know the SDLC cycle. No brainer, just make sure you know the steps. They didn't seem qualified to be able to dig any deeper. I recently interviewed at a software company and was not asked these type of cookie cutter questions. I was also offered the job!

You are correct, the interview process is a two-way street – an opportunity for both the company and the candidate to learn about each other – and our recruiting team is regularly reminded about the importance of ensuring a top-notch candidate experience, but we can always be better! Throughout the interview process, we strive to assess a candidate’s ability to respond to hypothetical scenarios and address mini-case business problems. We do this to help paint a picture of a candidate’s problem-solving capabilities as well as their ability to logically structure a project, as these are some of the key skills our clients are seeking.

      Entretien

      The process consisted of four separate interviews. The first was an informal, friendly discussion about the company and about me. The second interview lasted an hour, and focused on my skills and work experience. I felt that I definitely put my best foot forward during both interviews, and I was a bit surprised that I didn't make it to the third round. I was quite eager to meet with the Propeller team, and demonstrate that my skills and experience were the right fit for their company. Having said that, I think Propeller is a fantastic company, and it was valuable practice to interview with them. I wish Propeller nothing but success, and I hope that they will allow me a chance to interview for other positions.
